Hello, I am trying to chart all the small booklets I have, using Pattern Maker or PCStitch. Anyone interested in contributing to this blog?

Sajou No 301

Hello everyone. I was just unable to chart these pages. They can be charted, but require individual interpretation. If anyone would like to give it a try, I would be more than glad to put their effort up on this Blog.

Bonjour chacun. J'étais juste incapable de porter sur la carte ces pages. Ils peuvent être portés sur la carte, mais exiger l'interprétation individuelle. Si quelqu'un voudrait lui donner un essai, je serais plus que content de relever leur effort sur ce Blog.

  2. Hope this helps. I think that you have to look at them as ol' needlepoint patterns. I do alot with old patterns from the 1860's women's magazines when you had to have a little knowledge of all types of needlework and familiarity with using your imagination as the "designers" then assumed a "lady" knew techniques. It can be frustrating but not to be flippant though it makes sense then to me. The stitches are not crosses but tent stitches. You are only looking at half the stitch, so to think of it in terms of cross, you can not see the under half of the cross.I hope this helps readers. As far as charting them one should not really need to if you can work from the picture. The color on the print is good enough to give a general idea open to personal color preference.
I guess I am not exactly sure what you are asking for as far as charting assistance. I do love the flower border. Thank you for all you do with giving us the old patterns on you blog. I would love to do curtain tie backs out of the floral borders. I think they would be stunning. Must put them on the someday list, thanks.

  3. If it helps I would be happy to stitch a sample and send it to you. Just let me know. You may reach me at mrebec4@q.com. I am in nursing school but would be happy to work on a sample of an actual stitched piece you could post if your interested. Thanks for your work with the patterns and time.

  4. I love being able to have access to the original colors of the document. It is hard to duplicate them on a computer. I actually like to frame them up and then replace it with the finished project (provides inspiration). It is very hard for an American to have access to the original document.
Thank you for all you are doing for the art of needlework!Laure 54
