Hello, I am trying to chart all the small booklets I have, using Pattern Maker or PCStitch. Anyone interested in contributing to this blog?

    1. Hi Lila,

Good point. I considered that but I've been organizing the booklets by the language the book is using not the content of the book. Some books have patterns from several countries.

  7. Так! Це Українські вишиванки!! Не російські. Російські зовсім не такі!!

  8. Дуже, дуже гарні та аутентичні!!

  9. The language used is NOT Russian, but Ukrainian,
    they are not the same
i find the original much easier to see the design in.
the reproduction is using too dark a shade of red.
I have other Ukrainian books which I would be willing to share
In any case, Ukrainian and Russian embroidery is quite different.

  10. Hi, I am from Ukraine and its really great to know that someone is interested in our embroidery patterns. This magazine/book was published in Lviv (Львів), by publishing house "Rusalka" (mermaid)- Видавництво " Русалка" in 1930. and the name of this book is "Folk Embroidery" - Народні Вишивки. And if you like i can share few books with old Ukrainian patterns.
    lucyivantsu@yahoo.com just buzz me :)
    thanks again for your work,
    Lucy

  11. Hi Ramzi! I don't know how I could have missed this booklet, considering that you posted it over two years ago. But I didn't land on your page today through my Blogger dashboard, even though I've had it bookmarked for years. I was doing a search on Ukrainian cross stitch, and found so many wonderful patterns on Pinterest that I decided to join. One of the "pins" I checked out linked to your blog, and that's how I got here.

  12. Hi Ramzi: Did you know that a lot of people have been linking to your blog from Pinterest? That's how I found your page this time, not through my Blogger dashboard. I did a search on "Ukrainian Cross Stitch," and found so many beautiful examples of charts and finished embroidery on Pinterest that I decided to join it too!
